We have found that some questions come up repeatedly so we thought it would be helpful to list them and their answers here for you to save time.

Q: What if I want to sell my watch to you?
A: If you would like to sell your watch, please complete our web form or email us at info@webuyyourwatch.co.uk

In order to make a fair and correct assessment we need to know – brand, model, year, condition, if the watch is complete with box and/or documentation.

We also need to know what price you would like to achieve and not hear “make me an offer”. If we know how much you’re looking for then we can happily match it or negotiate.

Q: Do you give valuations over the phone?
A: No, we do not give values over the phone. We need to see the watch.

We are not being difficult but definitions regarding condition can vary wildly. A “couple of hairlines” to one person could equal “have you been at this with an angle grinder?” to another. People may think that their watch is in excellent condition because it’s all shiny with no scratches, but seeing it could reveal that its gleaming because its been badly over polished to the point that the lugs are like toothpicks and the case is soft. Alternatively, it could be unmarked because its spent its life in a safe and seen very little wear. We can’t call any of this without visual inspection and we wouldn’t want to disappoint anybody by having to revoke or reduce what we offer.

Q: How quickly can I expect a valuation after I have submitted my information?
A: We are on hand 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to respond, so you can expect a valuation from us usually instantly otherwise within an hour.

Q: How quickly will I get paid once we agree a price?
A: Once we agree a price, we will transfer the money into your bank account immediately, or we will send cash. It is immediate.

Q: Do you do collections?
A: One of our representatives can collect the watch depending on location – Please contact us for more information.

Q: Am I insured if I send my watch to you and something goes wrong?
A: If you use Royal Mail Special Delivery as we recommend, you are fully insured to the value of £2,500 (If value of item is correctly stated). See their website or speak to a member of their staff for details.

Q: If I choose not to post my watch to you, how can I get the watch to you so that you can value it?
